The Lonehollow Horseback Department      The Parelli Method of horse training teaches expertise and success with horses based on the way horses relate and communicate with their natural world – hence the term “natural horsemanship” The natural approach to horse training is effective with all horse breeds, all disciplines and all styles of riding including Western, Dressage, Jumping, cross country, drag hunting, polo, racing, or simply happy hacking. It’s been embraced worldwide by horsemen and women of all disciplines and skill levels, from first-time beginners to international competitors and Olympic medalists.      Based on respect for and love of horses – and understanding horse nature and psychology -  the Parelli method enables anyone at any level to have fun with horses and achieve amazing results…naturally. Parelli horse training avoids using force, fear, harsh bits or mechanical training aids in favor of love, language and leadership or, said another way; relationship, communication and trustworthiness. The Parelli method allows horse lovers at all levels and disciplines to achieve success without force partnership without dominance, teamwork without fear, willingness without intimidation, and harmony without coercion.

Trevor and Tara

    Trevor Carter is a 4 star endorsed Senior Parelli instructor and endorsed horse specialist. He has studied DIRECTLY with Pat Parelli for 7 + years. Trevor was invited by Pat and Linda to teach a number of weeklong courses at the Colorado, Florida, UK, and Australia centers. He has traveled extensively with the Parelli Savvy Team and has exhibited on behalf of the Parelli’s in many of the Love, Language, and Leadership tour programs. A Journey that began with showing horses in high school. Introduced to Parelli by his parents, Trevor attended the study center in Pagosa where he has achieved great knowledge and application of horse/human interaction and communications.

    Tara Carter is a 3 star endorsed Parelli Instructor who has been passionate about people and horses from the very beginning. Tara has spent the past 7 years developing her horsemanship at the source, focusing on opportunities to learn directly from Pat Parelli himself. After earning her B.B.A from Baylor University, she worked closely with Pat and Linda Parelli as part of the Events Team, International Faculty, and has studied as a protégé at Pat Parelli’s Performance and Development Barn (now known as the Mastery Program). In 2008, Tara was featured as a US Representative in the Parelli Live Your Dream Series on RFD-TV. Her focus is simply to be the best that she can possibly be with horses and to be the kind of mentor that empowers students to be able to do the same in any area they choose, and have FUN doing it!

   Having developed and training hundreds of horses and humans at the Parelli International Study Centers, Trevor and Tara are well prepared to develop the Lonehollow Equine Program to do its full potential.
