Dear Lonehollow families,
Dreaming, creating and building Lonehollow has been an incredible journey that fulfilled my life-long passion for camping. My staff and I have always believed that your trust in giving us your child for a few weeks of fun and adventure was nothing less than a sacred responsibility.
As I was considering my next phase in life, I realized that it was time to pass Lonehollow on to a larger organization who can continue to nurture and grow the camp that I love. I spent a lot of time searching for just the right group and it was important to me that they share a common commitment to enriching the lives of children through the camping experience. My search brought me to the highly respected Young Life organization, which has 32 resort-style camps in the US and overseas.
What does this transition mean to you and our other Lonehollow families? Beginning this summer through the summer of 2021, the Lonehollow programming, staff, mission and values will look and feel as they always have. We are adding the support and resources of Young Life, and will continue to honor Lonehollow traditions and ideals, particularly our commitment to the inclusion of campers of all faiths and religious backgrounds.
I will stay on throughout the transition as a consultant, enjoying time with campers, supporting our staff and ensuring the culture and customs of Lonehollow remain consistent. I am committed to providing you and your campers with the same level of excellence that you have come to expect.
I look forward to welcoming your camper to Lonehollow this summer for another unforgettable camping season.
